| About Us Majestic Mortgage was established more than 20 years ago. It was organized as a local lender serving Rhode Island clientel. It has expanded its lending area to cover not only Rhode Island, but also Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire. It was organized originally by Jayne Furlong, who presides as President and CEO of the company. |

Joseph Dowd is the Senior Loan Officer in charge of the Reverse Mortgage lending program for Majestic Mortgage Corporatgion. Mr. Dowd has approximately 40 years of government lending experience; managing and owning mortgage companies in the Washington DC Metropolitan area, before returning to his native RI. In addition to owning a real estate operation in the Nations Capitol, Mr. Dowd has also previously served as an underwriter for various programs, including FHA and VA. Mr. Dowd was born in Providence and attended high school at La Salle Academy. After graduation he entered the USAF spending the next six years in the service. He was assigned to various bases in the US as well as spending the majority of his time in Misawa,Japan as a member of the USAFSS. Upon completion of his service, he returned to RI and attended URI, graduating with a BA in political science. He then joined the Federal Government as an analysy for the Department of Defense. Shortly after joining the government, he began to work part time as a real estate agent until making the hard decision to work full time and subsequently entering into the mortgage field. |
